


Meet Dr. Azer
Dr. Michel Azer completed his specialty training at the prestigious Boston University in Periodontology and Advanced Dental Implant Surgery. Following his training, he remained in academia and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor for the Post-Doctoral Periodontal program to become the youngest faculty in his department. He then moved to Houston, home for him and his family. His areas of interest are cosmetic implant dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction implant surgeries, and gum disease treatment.
Apart from his outstanding clinical skills, Dr. Azer also lectures nationally and internationally, focusing on esthetic dentistry. He currently holds a core faculty position in the dental implantology diploma for the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners. His research projects have earned him much deserved recognition. As a chief resident in Boston University, his research on periodontal disease and diabetes was awarded the Richard Stallard Award. It was selected among four finalists nationwide for the prestigious Balint Orban Award.
Dr. Azer is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant specialist. He is also a member of the Great Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association board, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
