Meet Dr. Michel Azer

Dr. Azer is a board-certified periodontist — a surgical specialist who completed three additional years of residency training beyond dental school, focused specifically on the bone, gum tissue, and structures that hold your teeth in place. That’s the foundation every implant sits in.

He completed his specialty training at Boston University in Periodontology and Advanced Dental Implant Surgery. He served as Chief Resident during his time there — and his research on the link between periodontal disease and diabetes earned him the Richard Stallard Award and landed him as a top-four finalist nationwide for the Balint Orban Award, one of the most competitive recognitions in the field.

After residency, Boston University appointed him Clinical Assistant Professor for the Post-Doctoral Periodontal program. He was the youngest faculty member in his department.
